This
Land examines the personal and
political ramifications of American idealism when
a young humanitarian is kidnapped by a guerilla
rebel only to discover that the aid organization
he works for is a front for a Latin American drug
cartel.
The
contemporary relevance of This
Land has reached new heights with
the assassination of a commander of the Columbian
rebel organization FARC, and the subsequent rescue
of their 15 hostages, which included former
Columbian presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt
who had spent six years in captivity.
Michael
Stahl-David recently starred in J.J. Abrams'
blockbuster, Cloverfield, Paul Haggis'
NBC drama The Black Donnellys and made
his Off-Broadway debut in The Roundabout Theater
Company's production of The
Overwhelming.
